Samsung Galaxy Book Go debuts: An affordable Snapdragon-powered laptop line
- Samsung has announced the Galaxy Book Go series.
- The laptop line features Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets and runs on Windows 10.
- It will be released this month, starting at $349.
Samsung in April announced the Galaxy Book Pro series, its more serious laptop line with Intel CPUs and AMOLED screens. Now, the company has unveiled the Galaxy Book Go series powered by Qualcomm hardware.
The Galaxy Book Go comes in two flavors, one limited to LTE support, the other packing 5G. The former is powered by the Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 SoC, while the 5G model gets bumped up to the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 chipset. These are joined by 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, up to 128GB of eUFS storage, and a 42.3Wh battery. The latter is topped up using a 25W USB-C fast charger.
Beyond silicon, both models share similar features and dimensions. There’s a 14-inch 1,920 x 1,080 TFT display melded into a 14.9mm thick shell. Overall, the Galaxy Book Go weighs 1.38kg, which should be just fine for frequent travelers.
The Samsung Galaxy Book Go also gets a 720p webcam, Dolby Atmos support with its speakers, Wi-Fi 5 support, and Bluetooth 5.1. As for I/O, two USB-C ports feature, with one USB-A port, a headphone/mic combo jack, a microSD card slot, and a Nano SIM card slot making the cut.

The Galaxy Book Go series also runs Windows 10, and buyers can choose between Home or Pro editions. Naturally, the OS also arrives with the Your Phone app, which gives Samsung smartphone owners the ability to run several Android apps on the laptop.
Samsung Galaxy Book Go price and availability
Samsung is offering the Galaxy Book Go in Wi-Fi only and LTE guises. Both will be available in “select markets,” starting at $349. If you want the 5G model, you’ll have to wait a bit longer, though. Samsung notes this product will only be available “later this year.” All models will ship in a silver colorway.
