OnePlus Nord 2 renders put a face to previously leaked specs

  • Alleged renders of the OnePlus Nord 2 have leaked.
  • The design of the phone seems largely inspired by the OnePlus 9 series.

After leaking the full specs of the OnePlus Nord 2 earlier this month, folks over at 91Mobiles have outed readers of the phone in collaboration with tipster OnLeaks aka Steve Hemmerstoffer.

The leakers warn that the renders are based on an early prototype CAD, so you can expect slight differences in the final OnePlus Nord 2 that comes to market.

Nevertheless, the design of the new Nord closely resembles that of the OnePlus 9 and the recently announced OnePlus Nord N200. It’s got a similar vertically stacked camera array at the back and a punch-hole display on the front. The bezels are narrow and the phone sports the power button as well as the trademark alert slider on the right edge. The volume keys rest on the left side of the device.

Further, the latest OnePlus Nord 2 renders show a triple camera system at the back. Previously leaked specs suggested that the phone will get a 50MP main sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide and another 2MP sensor. A 32MP selfie snapper is expected to reside within the display punch hole.

As far as ports are concerned, the OnePlus Nord 2 renders depict a USB-C connector at the bottom. It doesn’t look like the phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack, but neither did the original Nord.

OnePlus Nord 2 rumored specs

Under the hood, the Nord 2 is rumored to carry the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. Other previously leaked specs include a 6.43-inch AMOLED 90Hz display, 4,500mAh battery, 30W or 65W charging, and Android 11.

So what do you think of the new OnePlus Nord 2? Would you consider buying it now that you know what it potentially looks like and what specs it might carry? Take our poll above and drop us a line in the comments section.
