- Xiaomi has launched its new flagship laptop, the Mi Notebook Pro X.
- The device packs 11th-Gen Intel CPUs, an OLED display, and Nvidia GPUs.
- It’s available to purchase in China from July.
After teasing fans earlier this week, Xiaomi has now launched its new flagship laptop series in China. The Mi Notebook Pro X packs an OLED display and Intel’s 11th-Gen CPUs.
Aesthetically, the Mi Notebook Pro X takes visual cues from previous Xiaomi notebooks. This includes the aluminum body with thin bezels, a large touchpad, and beveled edges. A backlit keyboard also features 1.5mm of key travel and a fingerprint reader baked into the power button. There’s a 720p webcam for meetings, too.
As for portability, the Notebook Pro X weighs in at 1.9kg and measures just under 19mm at its thickest point.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro X: Specs
What about those specs? Well, the Mi Notebook Pro X is headlined by a 15.6-inch OLED display with 3,456 x 2,160 resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. It’s also coated in Gorilla Glass. Xiaomi claims the display packs 100% sRGB and DCI-P3 coverage, DC dimming, and 600 nits of peak brightness.
Powering this screen, buyers get a choice between two Tiger Lake Intel CPUs — the Core i7-11370H with a 4.8GHz boost clock or the Core i5-11300H with a 4.4GHz boost clock. Both are paired with an Nvidia RTX 3050Ti with 4GB of GDDR6 RAM, dual-fan cooling tech, and a large copper heatsink. Notably, the i5 model gets 16GB of RAM with 512GB of SSD storage. The i7 option, however, ships with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
For I/O, the Mi Notebook X Pro packs a USB-C port, a Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Wireless technology includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 support. Loudspeakers, tuned by Harman, also pack DTS Audio support. For power, the Notebook Pro X uses an 80Wh battery with 130W USB-C charging.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro X: Price and availability
Xiaomi’s flagship laptop, available in Space Gray, starts at 7,999 yuan (~$1,238) for the i5 model. The i7 option comes in at 9,999 yuan (~$1,549). Both options are available to preorder in China, but general sales begin on July 9. There’s no word on global availability just yet.
