Get the phone that's right for your kid
Everyone's kid (and budget) is different, meaning there's not one single phone we recommend to absolutely everyone, but there are a couple things most people would look for in a phone for kids. Generally you want a phone that's cheap, capable, and most importantly, one that fits your child's needs.
That said, the Moto G6 is the best overall option thanks to its great feature-to-price ratio. It has a capable processor, solid battery life, good software, and plenty more for well under $200. Your kids are bound to love it, and perhaps more importantly, so will your wallet.
If that's still a bit more cash that you're willing to part with, you can't go wrong with the Moto E5 Play or Alcatel 1X. While not as flashy or powerful as the Moto G6, these phones offer a good, basic experience that'll keep your kids connected with the core features they need.
