Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Gaming Smartphone Launched in Europe with SD855 SoC

Xiaomi Black Shark 2 was announced a few days back in China and now it has been launched in Europe. Black Shark 2 is a gaming smartphone that debuted in China following many leaks. The handset is priced at GBP 559 in the UK and EUR 549 in other European countries for the 8GB RAM variant while it is priced at GBP 559 and EUR 649 for the rest of Europe. It should be available in other markets also but there is no official date of it.

Coming to this Gaming device, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 comes with a glass+ metal body combination, sporting a 6.39-inch True View AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. Furthermore, it has a notch-less display that offers 19.5:9 aspect ratio along with 430nit high brightness. There is the latest Snapdragon 855 SoC to power the handset coupled with Kryo 485 CPU and Adreno 640 GPU. It will also be available in 128GB storage option along with the 256GB storage.

The device runs out of the box with the latest Android 9 Pie operating system with custom Black Shark OS on top and should be getting further updates when available. For the camera, Xiaomi has included a 48MP + 13MP dual camera setup on the rear with f/1.75 aperture and a single 20MP selfie camera the front with f/2.0 aperture. Furthermore, it also has a 4000mAh battery on the back with the support for 27W fast charging technology.

Since it is a gaming device we can expect the device to come with cooling technology as the device tends to get heated up while playing or performing any high-end operations. The Black Shark 2 comes with Direct Touch Liquid Cooling 3.0 system that can reduce the core temperature by up to 14 degrees centigrade. The device also has a dedicated hardware button on it called as Shark key for entering or existing SharkSpace.

The device also has the latest in-display fingerprint sensor on it along with the facial unlocking feature. It is equipped with all the connectivity options like Bluetooth 5.0, dual frequency GPS, A-GPS.
