Samsung Galaxy S8 & S8+ Starts receiving Android 9.0 Pie on T-Mobile
Earlier this week we have seen Samsung Galaxy S8 along with its sibling S8 Plus was getting updates to the latest Android 9 Pie on Sprint carrier and now T-mobile has also started rolling out the update to these smartphones. The software will rollout out in phases so it might take some time before it reaches your device since it is an OTA update. The size of the download is around 1.6GB and will be coming along with One UI version 1.0 with the security patch for the month of March.
If you can’t wait for your device to get updated, you can always go to the setting of the device and check for it manually by heading to the software update section. If the download file of the latest software is available then you need to download it and install. Make sure you are using your Wi-Fi connectivity to download the file to save data charges and also check if the handset has enough batter for the update to complete. Also, back up all the important data to be on the safe side.
Coming to the Galaxy S8 smartphone, it sports 5.8-inch Infinity display with Super AMOLED panel offering Quad HD+ (2960 x 1440 pixels) resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. Under the hood, it came powered with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 octa-core SoC coupled with 10nm FinFET processor and 4GB / 6GB of RAM. It came out of the box with Bixby integrated and will now run on the latest software version.
The device is IP68 certified and will be coming with a 12MP camera sensor along with LED flash, OIS and few other features. There is an 8MP camera sensor on the font with HDR and it will be powered with a 3000mAh battery on the rear. There are other connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Do you own an Galaxy S8 device?
