Watch NHL hockey in The Battle for the Playoffs this month on ESPN+

ESPN+ is increasing its NHL hockey coverage for March as the Stanley Cup Playoffs approach!

NHL hockey has been a part of ESPN+ since it launched last April, and now they are putting a big skate forward on the service. They are increasing the number of games they cover, featuring more top teams in matchups and an exclusive post game NHL show nightly. You can watch all this extra NHL hockey streaming live on ESPN+.

The NHL has already been a big part of ESPN+ sports streaming service, with 9 games per week included to subscribers. For March, they are increasing that to 14 key games every week, with a focus on playoff-caliber teams. This "Battle for the Playoffs" will have every game feature at least one team that is in contention for the NHL postseason. Many of these games will have two playoff contenders going head to head! At the end of each night of hockey coverage, ESPN+ will also stream an exclusive post-game show called "In The Crease". Hosts Linda Cohn and Barry Melrose will be very familiar to longtime hockey and ESPN fans, and they will break down all the action from around the league that day.

The full schedule for the entire month will be released soon. Here are the matchups for this week:

  • Mon., March 4, 9 p.m., Toronto Maple Leafs at Calgary Flames
  • Tues., March 5, 7 p.m., Carolina Hurricanes at Boston Bruins
