Huawei Watch 3 with Harmony OS set to launch on June 2
- The Huawei Watch 3 will launch on June 2 packing Harmony OS.
- Leaks suggest the smartwatch will feature all-day body temperature monitoring.
- It could also support more third-party apps thanks to the new software.
Huawei will officially introduce us to its Android competitor, Harmony OS, on June 2. The company has now confirmed that the Huawei Watch 3 will also be unveiled on the same day packing the proprietary software.
This would be Huawei’s first smartwatch and one of its first devices to pack Harmony OS out of the box. The company previously used its own Lite OS to run devices like the Huawei Watch GT 2 and GT 2 Pro.
There’s no official word on what Harmony OS will look like on the Huawei Watch 3 or what some of its main features will be. However, according to a Weibo tipster, the wearable will support more third-party apps than before thanks to the new software.
We also previously saw some leaked UI renders of Harmony OS running on the device. They showed app icons arranged in a circular pattern around the edges of the dial.

Huawei Watch 3 rumored features
The Huawei Watch 3 is expected to offer long battery life even with its rumored eSIM support. Smartwatches with standalone connectivity usually draw more power from the battery. That’s because they are constantly connected to a network for incoming calls, texts, internet access, and more. Perhaps the Huawei Watch 3 will deploy an intelligent battery mode like the Oppo Watch that allows it to carry on without a charge for days.
Other rumored features of the Huawei Watch 3 include all-day body temperature monitoring, heart disease screening, and AI-based activity modes. It’s only days away now so we won’t have to wait long to find out what more it has in store.
