Best Roku streaming players:
Editor’s note: We will update our list of the best Roku streaming players as new devices launch.
1. Roku Ultra
The Roku Ultra is the top-of-the-line and the best Roku streaming player you can buy. The Ultra supports Full HD, 4K UHD, and HDR streaming, though it’s not the only Roku streaming player to support such resolutions.

However, the Ultra is the only Roku streaming player with an Ethernet port. It’s also the only Roku streaming player with storage expansion through the microSD card slot or full-size USB port. Even the remote is unique, since it features personal shortcut buttons, a remote finder, buttons for TV power, volume, and mute, and a headphone jack for private listening.
The Roku Ultra is available for $99 and includes a free pair of JBL earbuds.
2. Roku Streaming Stick Plus
You don’t get a free pair of JBL earbuds, personal shortcut buttons for the remote, or other Roku Ultra niceties. However, the Roku Streaming Stick Plus is arguably the best Roku streaming player for most people.

There’s still 4K HDR streaming support, a remote with voice support and buttons for TV power and volume, and 802.11ac dual-band MIMO support. Also, the ultra-portable form factor lets you quickly remove the Streaming Stick Plus and take it anywhere with you.
The Roku Streaming Stick Plus is available for $59.88.
3. Roku Premiere
The Roku Premiere shouldn’t be as featured-packed as it is, seeing how it costs less than $40. The remote doesn’t have voice support and there’s only 802.11b/g/n single-band Wi-Fi.

However, the Premiere still supports 4K HDR streaming. Also, you can stick the Premiere underneath your TV with the included adhesive strip. It’s an option if you know you’re not constantly switching TVs.
The Roku Premiere is available for $38.72.
4. Roku Express
Our last entry on our list is the Roku Express, the entry-level Roku streaming player.

This is as simple as it gets, folks. There’s Full HD streaming, the same 802.11b/g/n single-band Wi-Fi as in the Roku Premiere, and a Roku remote. There’s also an adhesive strip if you want to attach it to your TV.
The Roku Express is available for $29.
That’s it for our list of the best Roku streaming players. We’ll add more Roku devices as they become available.
