Samsung Q80 Series

Instead of OLED, the Samsung Q80 Series features a QLED panel. Samsung promises deep blacks and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. There’s also support for HDR10 Plus and the Quantum Processor 4K to upscale lower-resolution content.

You can control the TV with Bixby, while other smart home devices can be controlled through SmartThings. Finally, the Ambient Mode turns the TV into a photo frame or news ticker when the TV isn’t in use.

Sony X900F

It’s not an OLED or QLED panel, but the Sony X900F’s panel still promises a wide color range. There’s also support for HDR with HDR10, Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), and Dolby Vision. You can even play HDR-compatible games with your PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 4 Pro.

The built-in Google Assistant through Android TV means you can control the set with your voice. You can also control Assistant-friendly smart home devices. Alternatively, you can use the built-in Amazon Alexa.

4. Vizio M-Series Quantum

Vizio M Series Quantum

As the name implies, the Vizio M-Series Quantum features a QLED panel with up to 600 nits of brightness. The panel supports HDR with HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision, with the 90 local dimming zones simultaneously producing bright whites and deep blacks.

With the software, the TV features built-in Chromecast and AirPlay 2. Also, you can control the TV with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. Siri compatibility will be enabled through a software update.

The Vizio M-Series Quantum is available for $899.99.


5. Hisense 65H9F

Hisense 65H9F

Even with a sub-$1,000 price, the Hisense 65H9F features a QLED panel. The 132 local dimming zones promise an improved contrast range and color accuracy. The panel also supports HDR with HDR10 and Dolby Vision.

Elsewhere, the Android TV software means Google Assistant and Chromecast are built-in. If you’re not a fan of Google’s software, you can control the TV with Amazon Alexa.

6. TCL 6-Series

TCL 6 Series

Featuring a brushed metal finish, the TCL 6-Series sports a QLED panel with Dolby Vision and HDR10 support. The contrast control zones allow for improved contrast.

As with other TCL TVs, the 6-Series is a Roku TV. That means access to thousands of streaming apps, along with voice control through Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
