Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus

Update: November 15, 2019 (05:11 AM ET): Samsung is rolling out the fourth iteration of the One UI 2.0 beta in Germany, South Korea, and the US. Meanwhile, this is the third Android 10 beta for markets such as India, Poland, France, Spain, and UK. As reported by SamMobile, the new OTA update carries the software version G97**XXU3ZSK9 and is available for the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+.

The latest One UI 2.0 update for the S10 series fixes a slew of software bugs. Issues like screen flickers, background blurs, and disappearing status bar have been addressed. You can see all the new changes in the image of the changelog below.

Galaxy S10, S10 Plus and S10e update

  • Current stable version: Android 9 Pie
  • When will the Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, and S10e get Android 10? December 2019 – January 2020 (estimated)

The Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, and S10e launched with Android 9 Pie, the then-latest version of Android. They are expected to receive two major updates in the future in keeping with most flagship Android phones.

Based on Samsung’s recent updates, the phones should receive Android 10 by the end of the year or possibly in January 2020. However, it could come much sooner than that since Samsung has recently revitalized its ambitions when it comes to Android updates.

Samsung added a bunch of Note 10 features to its Samsung Galaxy S10 family shortly after the phablet line launched.

On November 8, 2019, the South Korean firm brought even more Note 10 functionality to its S series phones.

The Gallery app was updated to search for photos using keywords like “cat” to see… photos of cats.

Samsung also added an enhanced device search which finds content within streaming apps. A Media & Devices button was also added in the Quick Panel to lets users control a bunch of connected devices.

Alongside the fun but silly AR Doodle camera mode, the only other Note 10 feature to make the transition was a tweak to Samsung Dex which lets users dynamically edit videos when connected to a PC or Mac.

You can read the official blog post with all the changes here.

An Android 10-based One UI 2.0 beta is currently in progress in the US, South Korea, and other select markets.
