Twitter sends out the first edited Tweet, giving us a better look at how it works

Twitter has teased its new edit via its premium account profile, Twitter Blue. The editing function would allow users to edit their tweets within the first thirty minutes, and the latest teaser has included the editing icon appearing for embedded tweets.
