T-Mobile could soon require PINs to number port-outs for improved security

T-Mobile is implementing number transfer PINs so customers need to authorize a port-out on their account ahead of changing a carrier. This can prevent unauthorized users from taking over a phone number to acquire SMS-based two-factor authorization codes.
