Oppo Reno 3 Pro announced: All the megapixels, all the cameras
The Oppo Reno 3 5G series was announced earlier this year, but the firm is bringing a 4G entry to India in the Oppo Reno 3 Pro. And it’s clear that this is a photography-focused mid-range smartphone.
The Chinese brand has slapped plenty of cameras on this device, starting with a quad rear camera setup. You’ve got a 64MP main shooter, 13MP 2x telephoto camera (5x hybrid, 20x digital zoom), 8MP ultra-wide snapper (119.9 degree FoV), and a 2MP monochrome sensor.
Interestingly enough, the phone is also capable of shooting 108MP shots thanks to interpolation and super resolution. But we’ll need to spend time with the review unit to figure out if it makes a difference.
Switch to the front and you’ve got a 44MP selfie camera and a 2MP depth sensor in a pill-shaped punch-hole cutout.
What else to expect?
The rest of the phone is par for the course for an upper mid-range device in 2020, starting with the Helio P95 processor. The chipset is essentially the same as the Helio P90 seen in the Oppo Reno 2Z.
There’s also a 6.4-inch FHD+ OLED screen (60Hz), in-display fingerprint sensor, 8GB of RAM, a 4,025mAh battery (with 30W wired charging), 3.5mm port, USB-C, and ColorOS 7 atop Android 10.
The Oppo Reno 3 Pro launches March 6, and you can get the 128GB variant for Rs 29,990 (~$415). The 256GB model will set you back Rs 32,990 (~$456) when it eventually launches.
Would you buy the Reno 3 Pro over other mid-range phones? Give us your thoughts below.
