LG G7 ThinQ is a steal for under $300 from Amazon

The discounted LG G7 on Amazon.Amazon

Older high-end phones are a sure-fire way to get a feature-filled smartphone experience at a cheaper price, and the LG G7 made our list of older flagships still worth buying today.

Amazon and LG are sweetening the deal even more though, as the LG G7 ThinQ is available on Amazon for just $294.99 (h/t: Android Police). This means you’re paying what is essentially a mid-range price for a phone that’s packed with features.

Features you won’t usually find at this price-point include IP68 water/dust resistance, wireless charging, a quad DAC (with 3.5mm port), a QHD+ screen (6.1-inch LCD), and far-field voice recognition.

The LG G7 ThinQ also serves up a beefy but older Snapdragon 845 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a 3,000mAh battery. We thought the latter feature was arguably the weakest link in our LG G7 review, as it only offered average endurance.

Otherwise, the 2018 LG flagship also serves up a 16MP+16MP ultra-wide rear camera pairing, an 8MP selfie camera in a notch, and LG’s handy Android skin. Speaking of software, the G7 is slated to receive Android 10 in Q3 2020 — the company should’ve perhaps waited for Android 11 instead. You can check out the deal via the button below.
