Here’s what the Galaxy S20 Ultra and Galaxy Buds Plus could cost in the US
The Samsung Galaxy S20 series is coming in hot and tipsters are having a field day with leaks about the new phones. Most notable of them is XDA contributor Max Weinbach who is behind the recent spate of leaks about the Samsung flagships. In another series of tweets, Weinbach has outed the possible release date for the Galaxy S20, S20 Plus and S20 Ultra.
He has also revealed the alleged prices for the premium S20 Ultra and the Galaxy Buds Plus. Let’s take a look at the new information.
Galaxy S20 series availability and expected price
Weinbach says that the all three phones in the S20 series could go on sale on the first Friday of March. This means that we can expect the phones to release in the US on March 6.
We previously heard that the phones would release in France on March 13, but it’s worth noting that the Galaxy S10 series went on sale in 70 countries on March 8, 2019. So it’s quite possible that Samsung will release the S20 series around the same time as last year.
S20, S20+, S20 Ultra will likely be available first Friday of March. S20 Ultra should retail for $1300.

Further, Weinbach notes in his tweet that the rumored 108MP camera beast — the Galaxy S20 Ultra — would be priced at $1,300. This matches the launch price of last year’s Galaxy S10 Plus 5G and makes sense since the S20 Ultra is shaping up to be the most premium device of the lot.
The leakster had previously claimed that price of the Galaxy S20 base variant could start at around $850.
In terms of features, Weinbach notes that all three phones will get IP68 water and dust resistance. This was expected since event the S10 and the Note 10 series had the same rating.
The new phones are also said to come with preinstalled screen protectors just like their predecessors.
Galaxy Buds Plus price
Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Buds Plus alongside the S20 series. Weinbach says Samsung’s new truly wireless earbuds will cost $149.99, which is just a few dollars less than Apple’s AirPods with the wireless charging case.
He also says that they will come with double the battery life of the Galaxy Buds as well as feature Adaptive Noise Isolation instead of Active Noise Cancellation.
Galaxy Buds+ will cost $149.99. Battery life will be double the Galaxy Buds and will will have improved Active Noise Isolation (not cancellation.)

Weinbach’s latest tweet thread about the S20 series and the Galaxy Buds Plus comes a day after he revealed similar details about the foldable Galaxy Z Flip. We still don’t know if these pricing and availability details are accurate so we would advise you to take them with a pinch of salt.
However, if the Galaxy S20 Ultra were to actually cost $1,300, would you buy it for its ultra premium specs? Let us know in the comments section below.
