Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro specs: what’s the right Redmi for you?
Xiaomi has just launched the latest devices from its Redmi sub-brand, the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro, in India. The new handsets will be available in India from March 6, arriving in a slew of configurations and price tiers to satisfy prospective purchasers.
Design-wise, the two handsets are very similar, with identical dimensions, weight, and display size. Inside, there are a couple of significant differences, though, chiefly in the chipset, RAM, and cameras. The Note 7 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 675 based on the 11 nanometer process, while the Redmi Note 7 has a 14 nanometer Snapdragon 660 chipset. The former is slightly faster and more efficient.
The Pro model also offers more RAM and internal storage than the regular model, as well as stronger camera hardware. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro has a 48MP + 5MP rear camera setup like the Redmi Note 7 has in China. However, the standard Redmi Note 7 in India comes with a 12MP + 2MP rear camera setup, so this unit is a slightly downgraded version of the Chinese variant.
